PMAs

Aircraft Part Certification, particularly Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA), plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of replacement and modification parts in the aviation industry. AMT's strategic focus on producing PMA parts, specifically Class 3 components for wheel and brake systems, reflects a targeted approach to addressing industry needs.

When operating their own MRO, AMT's founders witnessed firsthand the escalating costs and long lead times for basic aircraft parts, prompting them to establish a company dedicated to producing PMA parts. PMA parts typically offer cost savings compared to OEM parts and can often be produced with shorter lead times, crucial for minimizing aircraft downtime and operational costs.

AMT's specialization in Class 3 components, particularly wheel and brake PMAs, is strategically significant. These components—such as nuts, bolts, heat shields, dust guards, drive blocks, and torque bars—are integral to the safe and efficient operation of aircraft landing gear systems.By focusing on components used in narrow-body and wide-body Airbus and Boeing aircraft equipped with Meggitt, Collins, and Goodrich brakes, AMT ensures broad applicability across major aircraft models.

All of AMT's PMA parts undergo rigorous certification processes to meet or exceed OEM standards. This ensures that the parts are compliant with aviation regulations and safety requirements, providing confidence to operators and maintenance providers.

By concentrating on a specific segment of PMA parts, AMT differentiates itself from broader suppliers and OEMs. This specialization allows the company to compete effectively based on expertise, quality, and cost-effectiveness in the niche market of wheel and brake components.

STCs

Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) are critical documents in the aviation industry that allow for the modification or alteration of an aircraft from its original type design as defined by its Type Certificate (TC).

In response to a customer requirement for a replacement Landing/Searchlight on the AW139 helicopter platform, AMT undertook the design, engineering and certification process. Working in tandem with the customer, AMT was able to quickly complete the entire process and have the first units installed on the customer’s helicopters within 6 months. The company is in the process of certifying additional STCs for the same searchlight on a variety of different platforms, including the Bell 429, Bell 212/412, Bell AW189, and EC175.

AERO - WIPE

AERO - JOLT

Every owner/pilot of a general aviation aircraft has faced the fear of turning the key, or pushing the start button and then having to confront the ‘sound of silence’ associated with a dead battery. The Aero-Jolt was specifically designed and manufactured by AMT to alleviate that fear.

Designed and manufactured to meet or exceed every General Aviation power requirement and in all climate conditions. Extensively field tested by FAA licensed airmen and mechanics, the Aero-Jolt was then tested on AMT’s in-house P&W T53 test bench and in the lab. Following over two years of testing and fine-tuning by our team of electronic and production engineers, the Aero-Jolt was officially launched in June 2024.

Capable of starting any piston engine, turboshaft or small fan jet, multiple times (up to 6 times between charges), the Aero-Jolt is a true revolution in portable APU power. Incorporating a state of the art Lithium Phosphate LiFi04 battery pack and intelligent Battery Management System (BMS), the Aero-Jolt will perform in the most demanding requirements whether that is the cold of Alaska or the heat of the African savannah.

• The Aero-Jolt provides sufficient 24VDC power to start your light piston powered or turbine powered aircraft every timeThe Aero-Jolt provides up to 4 continuous hours of reliable 5AH/24VDC standby power while performing routine ‘Engine Off’ tasks.

DUAL MODE LED SEARCH & LANDING LIGHT

Allows the operator to experience classic “visible light” and the “covert” (IR infrared) mode at night, the Katz-Eye LED landing search/light is equipped with both “visible light” LEDs and “InfraRed light” LEDs. The InfraRed light LEDs create a beam of infrared energy that is not visible to the naked eye but can be seen by the helicopter crew when using night vision equipment.

The U.S. DOD specification also required that the replacement landing/searchlight must have enhanced bulb reliability. Therefore, an LED specification was incorporated into the new Leonardo light. Moreover, the landing/searchlight needed to be hermetically sealed to the environment as previous designs were very sensitive to moisture infiltration.

The Katz-Eye steerable helicopter LED search/landing light was developed by Leonardo to fill a United States Government requirement for a “Drop-In, Form-Fit-Function Replacement” LED search/landing light for the Sikorsky Blackhawk helicopter. It was intended to replace U.S. Army landing/searchlights that were restricted to the “visible light” spectrum only.

Therefore, the Katz-Eye steerable helicopter LED search/landing light operates in both visible and infrared (IR) spectrums, changing from visible light to infrared light at the flip of a switch. This unique ability allows customers to conduct “covert” operations without the need to add additional equipment to the helicopter, while reducing weight and complexity. It also allows for increased mission readiness, flexibility and most importantly, enhanced safety of the crew.

MED - SWEEP

The Med-Sweep LED UV-C decontamination system, properly applied, reduces micro-biological and virological contamination on all surfaces of all assets utilized in public transportation by up to 99.997%. The system does not employ liquids or produce poisonous Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) or Ozone. Scientifically, UV-C light at the 274 nano-meter wavelength eliminates viruses, bacteria and fungi within seconds, on all surfaces – including metal, glass, textiles and plastics. Med-Sweep is an arrayed hand-held, portable, completely self-contained LED UV-C light generator developed by Leonardo S.p.A, one of the world's most prominent aerospace firms. Med-Sweep has been developed by Air Mount Technics Ltd for exclusive use in decontaminating public transportation assets.

Movement of the UV-C device wand over the target surface, within the limits of the on-board annunciated motion rate and distance parameters ensures 99.997% disinfection. This process exposes the target surface to the UV-C light in the dosage necessary toeliminate the targeted viruses, bacteria and fungi. No extraneous personnel should bepresent during the use of any UV-C device. The AMT device wand can disinfect an area up to 3 square meters per minute or 200 square meters per hour. If the area to be disinfected cannot be processed within the required turnaround time, multiple units can be deployed simultaneously. The device includes its own power source and can be operated up to 3 hours on a single battery charge, while ensuring the elimination of 99.997% of contaminants. A second independent power source (lithium-ion battery) is included with the AMT device for operations requiring more than 3 hours. It is recommended that the operator also be rotated upon battery rotation.
